Garry Cheney, our new associate, is a customer contact professional par excellence.  For the last 15 years, he found and served insurance and related needs of companies and individuals throughout the South Bay.  For 9 years, every piece of new business for Ray Silva Insurance Associates was attributed to him.

Garry holds both the California Life and Health and the California Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses, California Insurance Lic # 0B43279.

Before getting into insurance Garry served the PR and fund raising needs of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, SJSU School of the Arts and Humanities, The Santa Clara County Fair and other vital community organizations. 

Garry was awarded a BA in Political Science from SJSU.  He is Past President of the San Jose Jr. Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees).  He was awarded the Jaycees’ highest award internationally, a JCI Senatorship. 

 Garry is proudly a Bay Area native, having spent most of his life in the Silicon Valley.
